About the event
Join us for a meaningful evening with two of our very own Rollingwood Women’s Club members as they share how their organizations are transforming lives through literacy and storytelling.
Lauren Ballard will introduce us to the Beyond Limits Project, a local nonprofit dedicated to advancing literacy in Austin’s Title I elementary schools. Through targeted reading intervention programs, Beyond Limits Project helps young students build strong foundational skills, opening doors to lifelong success.
Rhoda Silverberg will share about the Women’s Storybook Project, an inspiring program in women’s prisons across Texas. Mothers record themselves reading a children’s book, and the book and recording are sent to their child — creating a powerful bond through story and voice.
In advance of the event, we will share a list of requested children’s books for those who would like to bring a book to donate.
